The Minnesota Wild have 11 unrestricted free agents.

Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher and head coach Mike Yeo have a decision to make on all the free agents.

The Wild currently have 31 players under contract for next season; each team is allowed a maximum of 50.

With the 19 remaining contracts, at least one will be used on drafted players that have expiring rights this summer. Also, there is cap space to try and lure a big name free agent or two to Minnesota.

Here is unrestricted free agent center Warren Peters.

Number – 43; Height – 6-0; Weight – 195; Hometown – Saskatoon, Saskatechewan; 2011-12 Salary – $537,500.

Statistics: 58 games played, one goal, four assists, minus-15 rating and 54 penalty minutes (Minnesota Wild); 20 games played, seven goals, four assists, minus-one rating and 46 penalty minutes (Houston Aeros).

Strength: His best asset is his ability to win faceoffs. He has a good work ethic and will stick up for teammates.

Weakness: He has limited to no offensive upside. He is not the strongest skater or biggest player on the ice.

Outlook: He is a depth, grinding forward. The Wild have a lot of center prospects joining the pro ranks next season and Peters has no standout skill, so it is unlikely that he will be re-signed. There is a better chance Peters re-signs than most of the team’s unrestricted free agents, but the contract and salary cap space is better spent elsewhere.
