The Minnesota Wild scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 Monday.

The win snapped an 11-game losing streak at Rogers Arena, dating back to January 31, 2009.

The win not only ended the lengthy losing streak, but also vaulted the Wild past the Canucks into the Northwest Division lead with 20 games remaining in the regular season.

Charlie Coyle broke a 1-1 tie by re-directing a shot from Clayton Stoner past Roberto Luongo three minutes and 20 seconds into the third period. Mikko Koivu added the second assist with a pass along the blue line, which moves back into a tie with Ryan Suter for the team lead in points at 23.

Matt Cullen later added an insurance goal with 10 minutes and 43 seconds remaining in the game. He shook off a check attempt by former Minnesota Golden Gopher Keith Ballard and took a pass from Devin Setoguchi for the short breakaway. Cullen beat Luongo cleanly between the legs.

The one negative for the Wild is that it gave up the game's first goal for the first time in eight games.

The Canucks (13-9-6) got the game's first goal on a power play score off a rebound shot by Henrik Sedin at the 10:18 mark of the second period. He corralled a loose puck off a shot by former Minnesota-Duluth Bulldog Jason Garrison that hit Daniel Sedin on its way to the goal.

The Wild (16-10-2) answered nearly five minutes later when Jonas Brodin fired a slap shot past Luongo on the power play. He received a pass from Dany Heatley at the blue line with 18 seconds remaining in the man-advantage.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard finished the game with two assists giving him five points (one goal and four assists) in three games since returning to the lineup.
